Comments: As you can see my name is another spelling of the Christman name. I anticipate the spelling was changed in earlier years by mistake or simple name change, but I would like to learn more about my possible connection to the Christman line. Do you suggest that I take part in the DNA testing mentioned on your site?

Comments: My ggreatgrandmother was Ellen D. Christman for Chestnut Hill Township PA who married Edward Long from Bangor PA. I am having difficulty linking her lineage. My info so far leads me to her father as William Christman, his as Ephriam, his Soloman, his Christoper II, his Christopher, and his Hienrich. But I have trtouble linking William. It seems like records are missing. Any one from Monroe County that can lend a hand send me a message. Thanks

Comments: Just recently found out that I am a descendant of Jacob Christman. I see there is a lot of information about his descendants. I'm curious why there is so much excitement about being his descendant. Other than being part of the first group to cross the Blue Ridge mountains, is there other information about him that is interesting? Thanks, Kim
