English Translation

The shield is gold.  On a green three-top hill a man, clothed blue with a blue hat, holding a torch in his right hand.

The name Christman originated from Christianus around the 12th Century.
According to heraldic descriptions by Paulus Fürst, Georg Phillipp Harsdörffer, et al, the colors represent:

  • Gold - Splendor and wealth.
  • Blue - Reputation and kindness..
  • Green - Love, honor, and courtesy.
Courtesy of Georges Christman.  The Christman coat of arms is recorded in heraldic archives.  Documentation for the design and description can be found in Siebmacher.
