Acknowledgements

Here is where I gratefully take the time to acknowledge all who have contributed in my research of our Christman Family and Descendants. Their contributions being either small or large have been very useful and helpful. Without their contriubtion, my research would likely not have matured.

  • A sincere thank you goes out to those who have joined the Christman YDNA project and for those that contributed funds to the project. Contribute to the Surname Project General Fund. Be sure to use the correct Project Name: Christman2

  • Arlene (Rahn) Moyer was one of the original researchers in our family for her branch of William Abner Christman. She provided me with all of her original notes papers and photos. Arlene told me she use to send out letters asking her relatives for information about their families and she would always enclose a self addressed stamp envelope so that they would reply.

  • Carole (Christman) Koch is another researcher for her branch of Jacob Christman c1711-1761 who also provided her original notes, papers and Christman Bulletins that she published.

  • Charles Kerchner initally started his Christman research in the 1970s. His research consisted of studying published books relating to the Christman's and researching the various Historical Libraries in and around Lehigh/Berks County. Mr Kerchner is the first to discover the exact location of the original property that the immigrant Jacob Christman (c1711-1761) owned.

  • Evan Chester Christman Photography and research. One example of his work is John George1797-1866 Christman's Farm House and Mill.

  • Karen (Christman) Heim also provided pictures and genealogy of her branch of Jacob Christman c1711-1761. She was instrumental in providing delivery and pick up service by going to the various Christman's residence, picking up their genealogy information and then forwarding it to me. She helped in getting members to join the Christman YDNA project and assisting members with how to perform the test. Karen and her husband Roger drove to the various Christman burial places to obtain pictures of both the cemetery and headstones so they could be incorporated into the website.

  • Kenneth Christman has been researching the Christman's for a number of years. He provided much of the genealogy information pertaining to the Immigrant Daniel Christman (1705) to include his unpublished BIO of Daniel Christman b1705. Ken also provided a copy of The Will of Johan George CHRISTMAN 1739 - 1801

  • Robin (Christman) Orth initially started researching the genealogy of our branch of Christman. Robin also provided the Miller and Heffner Family Bibles.

  • Roy Christman The story teller who provided lots of stories about my grandfather Paul Abner Christman.

  • Sandra (Christman) Kopicz provided family pictures and other family histories.

  • Sandra (Hunsicker) Christman the wife of Martin Christman. Martin is a direct line descendant of the immigrant Michael Christman b1726.
